SJO is our Introduction to Judaism program, ideal for those returning to Judaism or beginning the path toward conversion.
At StudyJudaism.net, we don’t just offer classes— we offer a multi-level curriculum that carries you step by step into the depth and beauty of Jewish life. Each stage is intentionally designed to build upon the one before it, so that your learning is never scattered or overwhelming, but clear, structured, and comprehensive.
SJO sets a strong foundation of Jewish belief, practice, and identity. From here, students may follow one of two tracks:
Those who wish to convert to Judaism advance to CTJ: Converting to Judaism.
Students who are
not converting progress into higher levels of study focused on Jewish thought, Halacha, philosophy, and spirituality—equally rich and immersive, designed to bring Judaism to life in a meaningful way.
The program is completely self-paced, designed to adapt to your life. For some, this may mean completing a level in as little as three months. For others, the journey unfolds more slowly, allowing time to reflect and absorb each step. There is no rush and no pressure, only a guided path that grows with you, at your pace.
SJO isn’t just an introduction. It is the
gateway to Jewish living and learning, opening the door to deeper study, greater connection, and, for those who choose, the life-changing path of Orthodox conversion.
The New Torah Experience: Tradition Meets Technology
In SJO, you will be invited to join a variety of weekly live classes with Orthodox Rabbis, supported by a library of prerecorded lessons and quizzes that can be completed on your own time.
Students also receive a carefully curated reading list that deepens the journey, introducing essential Jewish texts to anchor your learning.
Every student also receives personal Student Advising for guidance and support, making SJO the most comprehensive and accessible introduction to Orthodox Judaism program online.
